NBA Draft Family Seminar
TueSDAY, JUNE 24, 3–5 P.M.
Lotte Palace Floor 4, Holmes I AND II ROOMS

This very important seminar is for PLAYERS’ PARENTS AND FAMILY MEMBERS.
We look forward to welcoming up to five guests per player.

The 2025 NBA Draft Family Seminar is a forum in which parents, family members, and loved ones of prospective draftees will have the opportunity to reflect on the journey, understand what to expect during Draft Night, understand the resources that the League makes available to every player, and prepare for life as a supporter of a professional athlete.

We realize that the transition into the League is as major an adjustment for the family and friends of the drafted player as it is for the player himself.

The seminar will also consist of a panel with family members of NBA players and a current player.

NBA Player Development

NBA Player Development represents the league’s core investment in ensuring players have access to critical educational resources, support, and opportunities as they navigate their lives as people and professionals on and off the court. Our mission is to create space for player aspirations to thrive with an understanding that basketball is what they do, but not who they are.

We believe that players are lifelong learners and that they have the capacity to be leaders in their own lives and in the many communities they move in. Our engagement, programs, and initiatives span the arc of a person’s career and are intended to help players maximize their performance on the court, realize their myriad passions and talents off the court, and build a secure future for themselves and their families.

We have put together this guide to assist you during your Draft experience and as you celebrate this moment.  The NBA Player Development team is here to answer your questions and offer any support you may need throughout the Draft and beyond.
